Advantages: puts things in prospective

Disadvantages: exploiting the poor

This was a horrible TV series produced for BBC.

The programme followed really poor people. These people had no money and lived rough or in cheap hostels.

I remember one had to pawn something to buy big issue magazines.

One women lived in a hostel.

One man came out of prison and had to sleep rough.

They were all skint and BBC camera's followed them earning little bit of money or struggling to survive a day. For them £5 a day was a lot of money.

It was a very difficult show to watch. I only watched it few times.

If you watch this programme it makes you think about life. I was watching big brother other day and the contestants in there would cry for nothing. I think contests of CBB should be sent on streets to live without any money to appreciate what life is.

Skint at times was difficult to watch. But it showed how lucky most of us are really are when there are people out there living on the streets.

In a way BBC was exploiting these poor people. But I assume they were paid for being filmed and that probably helped them.
