I have never really been a fan of the Superman films in the pas, he is one of those super heros who is a bit characterless in my opinion and tends to lack depth.

Therefore I was not really that excited when I heard about the American TV show called Smallville which charts the early life of Superman as a teenager in high school who has to keep his special powers to himself. However once I watched one episode I really became hooked on this show. All of the main characters from the superman films are featured as teenagers so Superman emesis Lex Luther is present. Clark Kent himself is played by Tom Welling who is georgous and is really good as Superman, especially as he does not have to dress up in the naff outfit, I like the fact that he manages to bring the character to life and also introduce some of his Own cheeky personality to the character.
