Newest Review: ... ITV's Saturday morning viewing figures way above those of the BBC in terms of the kids programmes. The show was presented by the comedy duo of Ant & Dec, as well as Cat Deeley, and featured the charismatic trio's on screen chemistry making Saturday mornings highloy entertaining. Interspersed among the regular cartoons were a number of games and other pieces of entertainment, such as Challenge Ant and Chums. Chums was a take-off of friends, and just featured the three of them as they acted out ridiculous but hilarious scenes. Challenge Ant featured a boy or girl come on and have to beat Ant at something, usually a gameshow of some sorts.... more

Premium Review SMTV: Ant & Dec and Cat Deeley: what a combo that was! (387 words)

Saturday morning TV has long been a haven for kids, something to look forward to after the long week at school. A chance to lounge in your pyjamas and watch a few hours of fun, cartoons, entertainment and games. When I was younger, prorammes such as Going Live were on, and presenters such as Phillip Schofield and Sarah Greene were prime, as well as Andy Crane and Andi Peters. A few years ago, Saturday mornings were ruled by SM:TV, which took ITV's Saturday morning viewing figures way above those of the BBC in terms of the kids programmes. The show was presented by the comedy duo of Ant & Dec, as well as Cat Deeley, and featured the charismatic trio's on ...  Read the complete review

When I was younger Saturday morning's consisted of Saturday Superstore and later Going Live, which were both BBC programmes. Now, ITV have struck back with SM:TV, and for the last 4 years, nothing the BBC can throw at SM:TV has worked. ITV have kept the format pretty simple, and I am sure that this is the secret of their success, and also the fact that this programme is attractive to a very wide age range, and for the first time, parents are sitting watching the same programme as their children. The programme started off with 3 presenters, ex model and Brummie babe Cat Deeley, and Geordie pranksters Ant and Dec. The programme started off as a light hearted ...  Read the complete review

SM:TV is one of the most great things on television on a Saturday morning at 9:30 – 12:30 its all packed with fun and excitement. I get up every Saturday to watch it. I love all the music what’s on it. Where are they from? Well Cat as far as I can remember first appeared modelling in Lads mags a few years back .She must have been young at the time. I do think she cope swith the boys well and is a good presenter. Ant and Dec come from Biker Grove fame. It was a programme for kids set in Newcastle and they were the stars during the 1990's. They played 2 lads, PJ and Duncan. Poor PJ got shot Paintballing in the programme and lost his sight. ...  Read the complete review

What has happened to SM TV? They go and bring in that guy from Hollyoaks, (don't even know his name - fish or something) James Redmond apparently according to the website for SMTV who seems to have it in his head that he is a sex god!!!!! that's because of ONE Hollyoaks calendar he is now a pin up!! how did that occur? Is it me or do you think that he always what ever the time of day looks like he has just got up. Such a mess of hair of his head, and so unfunny. Cat Deely - now I quite like her - well used to until Ant and Dec left, she has now become old for some reason, they all treat her like she is the history behind chart shows or ...  Read the complete review
