Advantages: Camp humour at its best
Disadvantages: Only an hour long! Shame!
Graham Norton = Comedy Genius. I could leave it there, but dooyoo regulations mean I have to write at least 75 words. So Graham Norton has to be the most imaginative and risque shows on British TV. What makes it so good is that Graham is so personable and mocks his audience, guests and even close friends in such a way that is funny, but also endearing. Also, he strives to push back the boundaries of taste. In doing so, he has made himself popular with audiences both young and old. SGN re-runs are classic TV. Who could forget when the Italian pizza guy asked Sofia Loren if she had 'large toppings', or when doggy phone lost its head? But it isn't just Graham who instigates these bizarre happenings - many of his guests show their true colours and reveal perhaps a little more than they should. There are countless examples, but the one that springs to mind as I type this is when Sarah Brightman revealed that, although Andrew Lloyd-Webber isn't the most gorgeous fish in the sea, he is certainly the most blessed in the trouser department. Hilarious. SGN is pure gold, and I pray that C4 keeps it going for as long as it is funny. And when it becomes stale, they can replace Graham with Brian Dowling.

- 21/05/02 I think he's cool, but that might be because I only occasionally catch him on tele - my favourite one has to be when they brought in the wax-work of him, and he kept shouting 'Your freaking me out' at it. |

- 21/05/02 I used to like Graham Norton but hes a bit on overkill now.

- 21/05/02 I disagree I'm afraid. Very stale, repetitive humour, based totally on innuendos. He seems like a nice guy and everything, but comedy genius - no way! |
