Of course, when I say featuring, they don't actually appear - predominantly all the celebrities satirised just have ... more

"Come on down to South Park and meet some friends of mine..." Thank you very much, I will. Back when I was young, South Park always struck me as a childish show, which I loved of course, that was predominantly based on toilet humour and little else. However over recent weeks I've watched it regularly on Comedy Central and dare I suggest I love it! Back in the earlier series the joke always ended up with Kenny being killed in a random way and not a lot else. Yet in these recent series it appears the show's creators have taken an approach of - if it's in the public eye, will satirise it. And with great success. Nowadays the show ...  Read the complete review

From the creative minds of Matt Stone & Trey parker, South Park follows the exploits of four foul mouthed 8 year olds, Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman in the Snowy mountains of colorado. The small Hic town of South park is populated by a host of mentally and socially stunted individuals such as Mr Garrison and his glove puppet friend Mr hat, the woefully inept policeman officer Barbrady and one of my favourites the small blond whipping boy Leopold 'Butters' Stotch. The dynamics of the group are spot on, Cartman is the human representation of the antichrist, Stan & Kyle are the 'normal' faces of the four (with the word normal being highly ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review South Park: Excellent show (224 words)

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have struck comic gold with their comedy show South Park. At first one may think it is a very immature comedy series, that focuses on toilet humour. However this programme under the surface deals with current issues affecting the world. The duo do an excellent job at poking fun at themselves and the American life style. With episodes ranging to the election of Obama to Mr Hanky (a talking christmas poo, just saying it makes me laugh), South Park will never fail to make me laugh. The animation is not amazing, but that is what makes South Park so good. Simple anaimation but with halarious plots and dialogues. It has been said to be ...  Read the complete review

On the surface, and to the casual viewer, South Park may appear to be juvenile, based on nothing but fart jokes and swearing, but this is just a facade, hiding one of the most intelligent and satirical shows ever made. Shown on Comedy Central, South Park is the creation of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and revolves around the strange adventures that four school kids get tangled up in, in their fiction town in Colorado. The main cast members are the children, namely Stan, Kyle, Eric and Kenny. Stan is the 'everychild' of the group, that most children could relate to, even down to the point where he vomits every time he sees Wendy, the girl he loves. ...  Read the complete review

South Park has been on our screens for a long time now, and has gone through differing periods in it's seasons since then. When it first started out, the first 2 seasons were largely about crudeness and being "ballsy" and not about sophisticated comedy per se and some of the episodes in these first 2 seasons were quite bad to be honest. Season 3 was an improvement on this and started to development the series into more smarter comedy that is actually funny. Since then it's gone to have established season after established season, season 4 was hilarious and had consistently good episodes and then soon after Butters was introduced as a character and ...  Read the complete review
