Going down to South Park gonna have myself a time... (South Park)

Advantages: funny, entertaining adult series

South Park is an animated series aimed at adults that started out in the 90's and has been running for 12 seasons now. South Park originally started as an animated Christmas card that celebrities passed around amongst themselves and has had such a great success, that the creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, have been asked to create an animated series.

South Park is about 4 boys that live in a small mountain town called South Park in Colorado and the episodes mainly focus on one or all of the boys getting into some kind or trouble or silly adventure. The earlier series of South Park involved one boy, Kenny, dying horribly each episode and coming back as normal for the next. In the last couple of series however, they stopped doing this and Kenny has been safe so far.

So the boys are: Kenny (as mentioned earlier), he's poor and always wears a parka which makes his speech muffled (he says many swear words and obscene things that people might not be able to understand very well, that's why his dialogue isn't being censored), then there's Kyle, a Jewish boy, Stan who is Kyle's best friend and Finally Eric Cartman. Eris is featured quite a lot as he is a very disturbed little boy who always has some insane plan or ends up doing something completely unthinkable like having a teenager's parents killed and cooked into a chilli, he then watches as the boy eats and laughs at his misery.

Whilst many subjects on South Park have been very disturbing, it's never failed to make me laugh out loud. I guess it depends on your sense of humour and what you would consider going to far, so I'm concluding that South Park is likeable and funny, dependent on personal taste and opinion.
