Advantages: 23 Minutes of losing youself in brilliant humor.

Disadvantages: Seasons always seem short.

After seeing my first episode on Channel 4 back in 1997, I have been addicted.

South Park is not your typical funny cartoon you can show to your children. Thats why its on after watershed.

Kenny McCormick is a permanent character, who dies in the majority of episodes, in different incidents, and at different times, to which his friends Stan Marsh and Kyle Broflovski will shout the infamous term, 'Oh my God, you killed Kenny! You B*****ds!'

Kyle Broflovski is another permanent character, known for his Jewish faith, and spends the majority of his time arguing with his 'friend,' Eric Cartman. Kyle, ironically, has killed 'Jesus' in South Park.

Eric Cartman is, arguably, the most popular character in the show, with somewhat Right-Wing views on Jews and Muslims in particular. His catchphrases and general persona is what pushes the boundaries of the show to what people can actually tolerate. If you dont like what he says, you wont like South Park. He was awarded 10th Greatest Cartoon Character by TV Guide.

Stan Marsh is rather subdued. He doesnt get involved in may arguments, and is usually seen as the peacemaker in many incidents. His love interest for a few years, was Wendy Testaburger, who he would regularly vomit on if she spoke to him. As of recently, Wendy had successfully attempted to get back with Stan, even after she seemingly started a relationship with Token, which drove the mature Stan to depression, and caused him to temporarily join the Schools Goth Group.

Many of the episodes now 'spoof' real movies or events in the recent past, such as the recent Presidential Election, the film 'Cloverfield' and the whole Britney Spears saga, which seemingly shows support for Britney. It has even 'spoofed' Family Guy and the Simpsons, with the characters in the episodes having a very close resemblance to their real counterparts.

South Park is a multi-award winning show, which has been going for the past 13 Years, and is created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. They are known for the film BASEketball, and, during the success of South Park, made Team America - World Police, which uses a Gerry Anderson-esq puppet theme, with the typical humor of South Park still intact.

Ultimately, as long as things continue to happen in the world of disease, elections, celebrity meltdowns, films and music, South Park will always put a new spin on it, and its expected to thrive further on from the popularity it has now.

Summary: If you havent tried it yet, then Id seriously recommend it.
