Advantages: Nick Frost

Disadvantages: finished after the second season

This show comprises of two seasons with 7 epsiodes in each starring Simon Pegg, Jessica Stevenson and Nick Frost.

Tim Bisley (Pegg) and Daisy Steiner (Stevenson) randomly meet one day in a greasy spoon cafe and discover that they are both looking for a flat to stay in london. They chance upon an advert for a flat that seems perfect, yet its for a professional couple, so they come up with a plan to fool to the landlady Marsha into thinking that they are a couple. They're successful and start life together as secret friends in their new flat.

The series tells of their random adventures together and with their 'interesting' friends. There's Brian, a struggling artist who lives downstairs and is pretty wierd to say the least, Twist who is Daisy's friend and also pretty special. But the guy who steals the show for me is Mike Watt (Nick Frost), he is a kid trapped in a rather large man's body who loves all things army (he's a member of the TA), computer games and robot wars. For me his brilliant portrayal of a very wharped guy who gets jealous of his best mate Tim's new girlfriend and his blind devotion of him is the best part in an already brilliantly written show.

Simple storylines, good acting and plenty of film references - the dvd actually has an option on which if you select it, displays all the film references in the show, which are quite a few!

These were the early days of the Pegg and Frost comedy partnership who later brought us Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. If you loved these films as much as I did then you'll also love this show.

Full of cameo's like Ricky Gervais, David Walliams, Mark Gatiss and Bill Bailey.

Summary: good cast and simple but funny storys
