Newest Review: ... be the same without him. The last two series shown on Paramount, the one just before Heather Locklear came in, and the one with Heather Locklear have improved dramatically. they have got much more risque, expecially Michael J Fox, and the stupidity of Paul and James is a joy to watch, and make yourself feel superior with. Funny is an understatement. Please watch it for the electricitry between Locklear and Fox, James the Farm Boy who is a Pigging champion, Paul (from A Bug's Life), and Alan Ruck who played Rabbit in Twister playing the funniest sexist chauvinist pig since Sid the Sexist. Oh, i forgot the suicidal Pug dog as well bel... more

Currently watching this on Paramount channel, and have just heard that Michael J Fox is leaving due to his Parkinson disease. While praying that he will hold off the advance of the disease for as long as possible, I don't think it will be the same without him. Spin City is a superbly put together show. Everything about it works well. It is very, very funny. In Michael. J Fox they have a very talented main character who is perfect for a comedy sitcom like this. They have a couple of stunning young ladies in there as well, which i always like to see. Since Paramount have been showing this every night of the week, i have been watching this constantly. If you are a fan of Friends, like i am, then this could be a perfect substitute if you are bored of watching the endless amount of re-runs that are on at the moment. I wouldn't say that it is better than Friends, just a nice alternative on hand. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Spin City: A New Sheen (257 words)

Spin City has been a top rated comedy. Set in New Yorks City Hall it followed the fortunes of the Deputy Mayor Mike Flaherty, played by Michael J Fox. Sadly Fox has had to step aside to focus on his health and raising awareness and money for research into Parkinsons Disease. It was therefore a tough decision for the casting director of the show to find someone new to fill his spot. The choice was Charlie Sheen. After Daddy's success in the West Wing it was perhaps too obvious. Fortunately the writers have not opted just to slot Sheen into the same character mould. Sheens character is more of a party animal, and less controlling than ...  Read the complete review

This didn't really receive much attention in the UK, but it obviously got lots of credit in the States, as Michael J. Fox has been awarded with 3 consecutive Golden Globes for 'Best Actor in a Comedy Programme'. The series is based in the Mayor's office in New York, with the central character being the Deputy Mayor (played superbly by Fox). The reason why this comedy is so good is the excellent scripts and brilliant characters. These work so well together that I wonder why Spin City hasn't been more successful in this country. If you want to watch an episode of this great comedy series (which I think you should), keep you eyes peeled ...  Read the complete review

A very under-rated sit' com', which at last has received recognision in the form of the Grammy awarded to Michael J Fox recently. Based around the New York Mayor's office Michael J Fox plays the Deputy Mayor, who holds the office, and town hall together. The office is made up of a combination of charactors designed for siutations. They include a homo-phobe, predictably also there is a gay African American. The country boy living in the big city, the office slapper (excuse the term, but if you have seen it you will know who I mean!), and the typical hard-nosed New York girl and a press officer with very little or no street-smarts. It all ...  Read the complete review
