One of the best (Spin City)

Advantages: Excellent acting, funny stories.

Disadvantages: Not shown enough in this country.

This didn't really receive much attention in the UK, but it obviously got lots of credit in the States, as Michael J. Fox has been awarded with 3 consecutive Golden Globes for 'Best Actor in a Comedy Programme'.

The series is based in the Mayor's office in New York, with the central character being the Deputy Mayor (played superbly by Fox). The reason why this comedy is so good is the excellent scripts and brilliant characters. These work so well together that I wonder why Spin City hasn't been more successful in this country.

If you want to watch an episode of this great comedy series (which I think you should), keep you eyes peeled on the Channel 4 listings, and I'm sure you'll catch it eventually.
