Disadvantages: sometimes his support is not up to scratch

Spin City is one of those US Sitcoms that you never really know whether you like it or not. I must say, I used to be able to take it or leave it, but when you sit down and get in the habit of watching a few episodes - It grows on you. You get to know the characters - Michael J Fox, brilliant as the Deputy Mayor - equally so the Mayor in his own ignorant, stupid way. How did he get to be Mayor? The supporting cast have their moments, but this is very much Michael's show. Whithout him it would be fairly tame. He's the sticking plaster that holds it together. Try it - you might get hooked
