Many of the performers went on to greater things, in fact Hector Elizondo (who is a mean guitarist, by the way) became the CEO of Chicago Hope, but as a different character. As I comment under Hill Street Blues, this was a trail blazerfrom MTM (as in Mary Tyler Moore). Channel 4 ran a repeat series of these in the middle of the night some time ago (I hope more will be forthcoming) and they still come up as fresh as paint.
