Star Trek Voyager goes up and down in my affections as a fan of the Star Trek franchise. As a version of Star Trek, the programme is different from all the other Sar Treks in that in the very first episode the ship is catapulted to the delta quadrant by a myserious force called the Caretaker, who then dies, voyager is catapulted along ... Star Trek Voyager is a spin off series from Star Trek. I'm not sure if it's the 3rd or 4th incarnation of Star Trek (don't know if Deep Space 9 came first), but it's the best one. Cast **** Kate Mulgrew as Kathryn Janeway Robert Beltran as Chakotay Tim Russ as Tuvok Vulcan Roxann Dawson as B'Elanna ... Read the complete review

The weakest of the Treks by far, Voyager, like its sister show Deep Space Nine, was a spin off of Star Trek: The Next Generation, in turn a spin off itself of the original 1960's show. It's premise involved a starship, Voyager, being thrown thousands of light years out of known space and it's crew being forced to find their way home, potentially ... Read the complete review

Voyager is often the most maligned of Star Trek series' even by Trekkies themselves. Myself I've always had a soft spot for Voyager, having enjoyed it as a kid. I recently re-watched the series from episode one season one, to the finale in season 7, and I must say I enjoyed it immensely. At times the acting is hammy, the ... Read the complete review

Star Trek Voyager is the 4th series set in the Star Trek universe preceeded by The Original Series, The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. It follows the USS Voyager, a starfleet vessel stranded in the delta quadrant, 75,000 light years from Earth. *The Premise* In the Pilot episode, 'Caretaker', Captain Kathryn Janeway ... Voyager, a federation ship is thrown on the other side of the galaxy ( purely by accident of course ), they have to work together to find a fast way home, survive the unknown delta quadrant, ( the borg's neighbourhood, and they don't take kindly to tresspassers ), and make it home before ds9 takes all the ratings, ( which is what happened ... Unless you an avid Trekkie, this op will not particularly be of interest, I earned my "startrek" anorak several years ago when James T Kirk was my hero !! The budget and technology for these episodes were so blatantly negligent by todays standards and It is almost embarassing to watch them now. The makers had the benefit from ... I watched the last ever episode of Star trek Voyager last night and all I can feel is total relief. They returned home. Thank goodness. Hopefully that will mean no films or follow ups, Voyager will disappear into the annals of history as the weakest star trek show created. As a fan of Next Generation and some Deep Space Nine, but not a ... Read the complete review

All startrek series are very diferent, Voyager is no exception. I think this has contributed to the success of the startrek universe; each series will appeal to different people. Personally, i find Voyager the most entertaining series, followed closely by The Next generation and the DS9. The original is a bit before my time and i find it ... Read the complete review

I found the stories and characters interesting. My favorite characters Captain Janeway A woman as the captain. In the USA, that's a "noval idea". Many people are still in the mode of "woman can't be in charge". Seven of Nine - just shows that with understanding and compassion, ANYONE can change. ... Read the complete review

There's no denying that Voyager has had some pretty lame episodes. There have been some incomprehensible plots resolved just before the last advertising break at two minutes to the hour, by some absurd deus ex machina. Nevertheless, it comes out ahead of the other Star Trek series by virtue of a unifying theme - getting back to earth ... Read the complete review

As a definite fan of "Star Trek - The Next Generation" I had to watch Voyager. "Deep Space Nine" was initially a bit of a disappointment for me and I was happy to see that "Voyager" was the work of the same people that created STTNG. The journey begins when, while on the chase for a Maquis ship (rebels that ... Read the complete review

The first series of Voyager aired in 1995 with ‘The Caretaker’. The starship Voyager took off from Deep Space Nine, with a brand new crew (unlike the series Deep Space Nine, which pinched a few people from the Enterprise). Voyager has a female captain, which was a new and novel idea, and they wisely added some species known to earlier ... Read the complete review

Voyager is the fourth in the line of Star Trek series and the only show to still be running (in the UK at least, it may have finished in the US). The final series is currently airing on Sky one, although a new fifth serial based on Star Trek has been announced recently, so Voyager will not end the prestigious line of shows. Based on a new ... I am, but are you? Star Trek has come a long way since the days of Kirk and Spock so why not try Voyager, the fourth in the line of Star Trek shows. Basicly the run down of the story goes something like this. Captain Kathryn Janeway left "dry dock" with a crew consisting of bold new faces and alien species searching for a ... I remember reading about Voyager 5 or so years ago now. It was to be another follow on from startrek charting the adventures of a different crew and different ship. At the time the papers mocked the fact that there was a female klingon, a Vulcan and a holographic doctor. It was by all appearances to be the same sort of startrek format but in a ... The Star Trek franchise has become kind of a definition of modern sci-fi. It's the first and last word when anyone mentions any sort of science fiction, and it's clear why. Four series and 9 films on from Gene Roddenberry's original vision, and the ideas are still going strong. Star Trek : Voyager is the fourth series in the ... Read the complete review

When I watched the first episode of Star Trek Voyager I thought it was very strange having a women in the main role of captain. In all the other Star Treks, The captain has been male! Voyager started out with wonderful promise. A ship lost and alone, exploring its way back home. But it completely lost that potential through haphazard plot development and poor writing (at points) throughout its run. When Voyager was good ("Caretaker, "Before and After", "The Year of Hell" , ... Read the complete review
