Newest Review: ... boss, Captain Harold Dobey (played by Bernie Hamilton) who was often rather stern and angry with their approach, but pleased and relieved when a crime was solved - and the wonderful Huggy Bear (played by Antonio Fargas), who was their 'grass' (to use a term from 'The Bill'!) - quite a camp, hippy kind of character, full of the zest of life and could always be counted on to raise a smile. The cast was excellent, especially the way Paul and David worked together. It looked as if they were as tight-knit off screen, as they were on-screen. One of my favourite television programmes of my childhood was the wonderfully exciting Starsky and Hutch. From the fast music and exhilarating images of the opening credits, it whizzed through an exciting adventure every week, as our heroes solved yet another crime, landing the baddies in jail and probably picking up the girl on the way. Their super-fast bright red car was inevitably involved in a great car chase, skidding round corners, in hot pursuit of this week's arch enemy. I used to watch Starsky and Hutch along with my aunts when I was at school. I could not wait til my programme came on because I had a crush on Starsky. Played by Paul Michael Glasier, I even knitted myself a big chunky cardigan like he always wore. Hutch, played by David Soul was the blonde haired handsome one that all the women adored and it was strange that I was only attracted to the dark cheeky smile one. They were cops who spent most of their time running their captain up the wrong way and getting the bad guys with information off their friend Huggy Bear.
