Please bring back Bargain Hunt with Tom Wonnacott! It is far more entertaining than Sun, Sea and Bargain Spotting. Why? Because rarely, if ever, do the contestants spot a bargain. In fact they invariably sustain constant losses, and hardly ever show sea! This programme may be more aptly titled..." Travel Abroad, buy things, and make a loss." Can someone please bring back "Bargain Hunt", as each time I tune in to watch Angela und gang I always know the outcome... loss, loss, loss. Where is the fun in that? Angela Rippon presents this daytime television programme where two contestants travel to a market in Europe to buy objects with the aim of bringing them back to sell in England. The most frequent location the contestants visit is France. Each contestant gets paired up with an expert to guide them. Sometimes however the contestants should trust their instincts as the 'experts' can often get it very wrong! Angela Rippon gives each pair around £250-£300 to spend. People are influenced by television. There is no doubt in my mind that they are as you will see from my observations of this program, which to all intents and purposes is considered “entertainment”. The series in question is “Sun, Sea and Bargain hunting”, which is presented by the BBC, and is a series of challenges, where two contestants have to buy items to a total value of three hundred and fifty pounds in a French or Italian market, take their goods back to the UK, and sell them, each trying to get the best profit.
