Advantages: Classic entertainment
Disadvantages: It's on ITV2 now! You might get bored waiting for something, anything to happen.
I have just seen an advert for Sunset Beach on ITV2. This has to be worth a subscription to digital, which I have. The only slight problem I have is that I can't actually receive ITV2 on mine. Sunset Beach rules! It is very sad, but I used to have such an addiction that I was on many occasion, late for my lectures! This was mainly due to the fact that everything moves at an incredibly slow pace - I have never seen a soap more expert at this. When you add in the asides to camera and the truly terrible acting, you have a classic. It was cancelled in America because they didn't appreciate the irony of it all! Or, depending on who you believe, it wasn't over the top enough. This I find hard to believe - it would be very hard to do better than: - a psychotic, indestructible twin called Derek. This always used to amuse me - Derek!! - Titanic-esque boat disaster - A very humorous earthquake - Turkey baster artificial inseminations without consent. - the vacant Maria turning up after 10 (?) years of being lost, presumed dead. - affairs with Congressmen The list goes on and on. And the best thing about it is that you can miss two weeks worth of episodes and absolutely nothing will have happened. Excellent!

- 09/07/00 Anyone thinking of gettin OnDigital to get ITV2 and thus Sunset Beach - Don't bother if you live in Scotland cause they have S2 instead that doesn't have the same programmes and, you guessed it, don't get SB :( |

- 04/07/00 Ah, Sunset Beach...... trully a bastion of all that is bad about television, but oh, so amusingly so! A tidal wave takes 2 weeks to move a few feet..... only in S.B. If only I had cable........ |

- 29/06/00 You forgot the amusing Rosario Stones plot. And that baby's proper parents, which wasn't as entertaining. |
