Supersize Vs Superskinny Reviews

Whilst in the food clinic they have to eat each others meals for a whole week and I think this is generally a shock to both people seeing somebody struggle to either live on their meagre amount of calories or to see somebody try to force down plate after plate of fatty and unhealthy foods which just aren't necessary as part of an everyday diet. One of the most shocking parts of the show is near the begin when both supersize & superskinny are put together in their underwe... more

I have to admit to being slightly addicted to Supersize vs. Superskinny, as I find it oddly fascinating. The basic premise of the show is to take one hugely overweight and one underweight person , stick them in a house and force them to eat the others' diet for a week, thus shocking them into rethinking their own bad habits. The show begins by introducing us to the 'diet swappers', where they explain a bit about their eating habits, before each of the swappers are weighed, measured and spoken to by Dr. Christian Jessen, who oversees the diet swap. Usually we see Dr. Jessen explaining to the swappers the damage their eating habits are doing to their bodies, and ... Read the complete review

I have watched most of the episodes of this programme over the last three series and my daughter became interested in it as well over the summer holidays. I have a great worry about the future of our children as a large number of people are morbidly obese and there is also a growing trend to be painfully skinny. Neither of these extremes are the way to go and I think people need to be shown how wrong and dangerous they are. The premise of the programme is a simple one - take one very overweight person and one very underweight person, put them in the same house to live together for a week and make them swap diets. The purpose of the diet swap is ... Read the complete review

The programme has been going for a couple of years now and revolves around people that cant stop eating and people who just cant be bothered to be eat. As I said the show has changed a bit since it's first season. We had greater emphasis on the 'supers' and Dr Jessen with inserts from Anna Richardson testing dum diets and the insanely annoying Gillian McKeith shouting at people through a megaphone banning big bums. She was finding exerise regimes to help lose weight. However at the start of the third series they have got rid of Gillian McKeith and it is now Richardson that looks at both diet and exercise in the same amount of time. ... Read the complete review

Supersize vs Superskinny is a programme being currently shown on Channel 4. It has been on before, but this is the first series I have watched. I was intrigued by the adverts for it. The programme is on for an hour and is presented by Dr Christian Jessen, who also presents 'Embarrassing Bodies'. Each programme follows the same format each week. Two people, one who over eats and one who under eats, are focussed on. They have a chat with Christian at the start who takes their measurements and tells them their BMI's (body mass index). Both of the 'patients' meet each other in their underwear. I see no point in this other than for viewers to gawp at ... Read the complete review

Supersize Vs Superskinny is a Channel 4 documentary series, which started in January 2008 and is now on it's third series. It follows two extreme eaters, one very overweight and the other seriously underweight. These two people are then forced to swap diets, in an attempt to get them to change their unhealthy eating habits and their view of food in general. The show is presented by Dr Christian Jessen, with special features by Anna Richardson. Each week the two people are taken to a feeding clinic, for a period of five days. They are both weighed and we get to see what they eat on an average day and we also see how much exercise or lack of exercise ... Read the complete review
