Advantages: Educational and Sometimes Funny
Disadvantages: Repetitive from programme to programme
This is a Channel 4 reality Television programme that features one very overweight person and one very under weight (mal nourished person).
It's a good programme but unfortunately, like many other reality programmes, once you have seen a few you realise that each programme is almost identical to the previous one.
Most of the programme is an exercise in stating the bleeding obvious to the two participants.
The very overweight person is told that they are overweight because they eat too many fatty foods and not enough fruits, vegetables, fish and fibre and the very skinny person is told they are too skinny because their diet is the polar opposite and they are not getting enough essential fats in their diet or enough protein and calories to build and maintain muscle mass.
Each participant is then shown shocking 10 foot high blown up photos of themselves and basically told that if they don't change their eating habits they will develop serious medical conditions and maybe even suffer a premature death.
They then attempt to eat each others diets so that they can learn how to eat, experience and enjoy the part of their diets that is missing.
This goes on for a while during which time the participants "go on a journey" and realise how they can become healthier and better people.
Towards the end of the show they are weighed on the scales and have both moved nearer to more of a healthier weight.
As I said it's quite a nice little programme but changes little from week to week.
Summary: Worth wtaching if nothing better is on television.
