Advantages: gripping TV , Massive prize money, Real life drama
Disadvantages: Not on every night
Weeks have passed on the island and now the real crunch time is coming. The final is to be aired in two parts next week and we will finally find out wish person won the £1 million first prize. Survivor at first to me was nothing more than a game show on an island but now it has developed into an exciting set of events every Monday and Tuesday nights (sad but true). The basic concept of the show is for one person to survive the island and win the prize. Contestants were split into two opposing teams and took part in tasks, the losing team had to vote one of their own team off the island. Once the contestants were whittled down to 8 the two teams merged and a vote each week took place to evicte one member at a time. Any members evicted from the island from the last 8 sat on a panel that would ultimately decide who wins the money from the last remaining 2 on the island. The thing that really makes this show special is the personalities of the people and the sneaky, snide, lying, behaviour that the contestants display in an attempt to win the money. Alliances are key to survival and maintaining friendships is the only way to be sure to stay to the end. One example of how low people will stoop was when Eve refused Charlotte the chance to go put a tampon on while competing on one of the islands tasks. She then hid all the remaining tampons and took a lot of the food rations (which was rice). Once the other contestants found out about Eves shocking behaviour they sliced up her coat and searched through her belongings. Like me I bet everyone has their favourite who they want to win, I personally like the remaining 4 contestants. Mick is an old ex-bobby who keeps good relationships with everyone; he sneaked sausages on the island, by carrying them up his arse! He recently had a termite infection around that region much to the surprise to everyone. Jackie is a schemer but not in a nasty way, she likes to play the game a
nd enjoys the whole experience. Charlotte is another one that has not stooped so low on the island so far. She has been fair and honest, but she does moan a lot about food and her looks, which does get tiresome. Richard is the real schemer, the winner and the real favourite to win the overall prize. He instigated the Zoë eviction and looks a good bet to win all the remaining tasks and thus avoid being evicted by the vote (which winning the immune task enables). But it all comes down to who the panel of previously evicted contestants vote, who do they want to win the money? Its all the play for, I cannot wait to find out, which way this one turns. I am just glad the nasty Eve, Nick and Zoë will not get their hands on it!
