Advantages: great seeing them couped up together, you get to see them without make-up, they are suffering

Disadvantages: it is'nt hard enough on them

I’m a Celebrity get me out of here, is basically a celebrity survivor programme, where 8 celebrity’s have to survive in the outback and it raises money for charity.

CONTESTANTS
**************
The 8 lucky celebrity’s are

NIGEL BEN
A former super middle weight boxing champ of the world.

URI GELLER
A professional spoon bender!!!!!

DARREN DAY
A singer very much sounding like Cliff Richard and appears in musicals.

CHRISTINE HAMILTON
Famous for being Neil Hamiltons wife!

TARA PALMER-TOMPKINSON
Celebrity IT girl who gets paid for going and being seen at parties. (what a hard life)

NELL MCANDREW
Presents ‘it’s a knock out’

RHONA CAMERON
Lesbian comedian who had her own sitcom.

TONY BLACKBURN
A DJ on capital gold.

So as you can tell they are all very well known celebrities who are very much in lime light!!!!NOT
They have basically seen what celebrity bigbrother did for Clair Sweeny and the others careers and thought it could'nt do their careers any harm!!

DESTINATION
*************
The Australian jungle 50km in from north Queensland, where they will be faced with 4inch bird eating spiders, 35 species of snakes, and temperatures as high as 37 degrees!!!! (What some people will do to get noticed!!!)

PRESENTER
***********
The presenters of the show are the one and only Ant and Dec. They will presenting the show from the site in the jungle where cameras are filming the contestants 24hrs a day.

WHEN ARE WHERE’S IT ON?
**************************
The show is aired on channel 3 (ITV) at 9pm, this is 6am Australian time, where we get to see highlights of everything that went on the previous day, and we get to see snippets of what is happening in real time, where amazingly everyone is up and about as they have no idea of what time it is, as a watch woul
d have been a luxury item.

WHAT IS THE GIST OF IT THEN?
****************************
Well the contestants have to survive on a basic rationing of rice and water, but they get the chance to win more luxury food items in the bush tucker trials.

The bush tucker trials are decided by a public vote, this being where the money comes in to raise the cash for the show and for charity.

You have to vote for which contestant you most want to see do a challenge.

The first challenge was done by Tara, where she underwent a shower of grubs and earned extra food for the group, the second challenge is for Nigel and he is going to be confronted with snakes.

They have to do a challenge everyday in order to receive these extra goodies.

Also each day a leader is chosen from the tribe and has to tell everyone else what to do in order for the camp to run smoothly.

Also a pair of contestants are sent out into the jungle with a map and compass in order to find a treasure chest and bring it back to camp and choose which side of the chest to open. In one side of the chest there is something useful for in the jungle and in the other side something not quite so useful such as a Tony Blackburn book of party fun!!!!

The show is aired 7 nights a week for two weeks. In the first week we see how they get on with one another and see them do the tasks, and in the second week you get to vote out a contestant each day until you are left with the celebrity King of the jungle!!!

There is also live footage on ITV2, as well as the hour long show on week nights at 9pm.

So far I was enjoying seeing Tara suffer, but I think she is being babied by the group now, and I love the dispute's between Nigel and Rhona. Seeing the celeb’s sleeping in Hammocks in fear of their lives is great, but I do wish that they got the same kind of treatment as the real contestants in survivor, as they had a much more r
oar deal.

This is something that I initially avoided like the plague... but ended up turning into a sick, narcotic compulsion. Surprised Nell didn't win, to be honest... but I'm kind of glad old Tony did. Gives us aging gents some hope!

Nice review. Regards, Jason.

Thank you for your friendly words for my op on Childhood Memories. Ops like that don't get a crown as they're not product orientated. In the early days of dooyoo such ops were crowned, too, but not according to the new rules. ;-(
