Advantages: get drunk watching it

Disadvantages: dire tv

Take me Out is another version of Blind Date and is TV on the cheap as it follows the same basic format every week and relies on people making fools of themsleves in order to get a few cheap laughs.

The main attraction of watching this show is that you can sit and be bitchy about the female contestants as there are some real mingers and bunny boilers on this show all desperate to bag a fella or at the very least get their 15 minutes in the limelight. The show is hosted by Paddy McGuinness who has made a "career" for himself by grabbing onto the coat tails of the talented Peter Kaye and without Kaye he has only managed to do this and an advert for pasties so you can imagine what the quality of his presenting is like, the fact that most of the women look like the sort that would consider him a top prize of a catch speaks for itself.

Each week 30 girls take part each standing behind a podium, a male is revealed to them and then if they are interested in going on a date with him they keep their light on (if it were red then they really would be prostituting themselves) and it is all based on first impressions. Those that are still in the game hear more about him and he then performs some sort of talent he has, this can often be cringeworthy and they can switch off at any time. After this the power switches to the bloke, he will switch the other lights off until he is left with just the two girls, they get to answer a question and then he decides. After a date they return the following week to spill the beans.

Like I said it is rather dire TV and does not have a lot to offer however along with friends we did manage to devise a drinking game around the show which made it more interesting.

Summary: awful show
