Advantages: Funny, good games, easy watch
Disadvantages: No prizes, hard to win
If you want a programme to watch that is an easy watch, perhaps whilst doing something else, like surfing the net or dooyooing, then you should check this out. It is sure to give you a laugh too.
This programme is on at various times of the Challenge channel. It is based in Japan and although the native language is of course Japanese, our very own Craig Charles hosts it with his dulcit and whitty tones as a voiceover. It sees contestants battle against the odds through various challenges. Running through a maze of doors, whilst avoiding the guards. If caught they are thrown in the drink and do not progress to the next round... you get the idea.
One of the other good games is Bridge Ball. A wobbly really dodgy looking bridge spans a large gap. The contestant has to cross the bridge whilst having footballs cannoned at him/her. Taking a hit sees them fall, but some cling on and it is hilarious (or maybe I am just easily pleased). There are so many games to tell you about, but I would love you to experience them first hand, so really, check this programme out.
The climax shows the remaining few battling against the guards as they try to storm the castle. They go in these slow tanks, with lasers and water guns. They have a small ring on their vehicle covered in tissue paper. If this is hit and broken, they are out. The only shame here is that you hardly ever see anyone win, and to this day I see no prize!
How they do not injure themselves (perhaps they do) is beyond belief!
Summary: If you want a laugh, check this out
