Advantages: Keeps the kids occupied

Disadvantages: Drives Parents mad

This is probably the show that paved the way for the Fimbles etc.

Watch as Tinky Winky (purple), Dipsy (green), La La (yellow) and Po (red) prance arond teletubby land playing with their toys hugging each othe and watching films through each others stomachs. They'll eat tubby toast and Noo Noo (hoover) will clean up their mess. Or go outside and play with their favourite toys. Tinky Winky has his bag, Dipsy has his hat, La La has her ball and Po has her Scooter. And then you have Toyah Wicox providing the voice over telling them to say Bye Bye.

Granted they got alot of bad publicity when they started at first because they don't speak properly. I disagree they make words easier. My daughter imitaed some of their words but I feel that by learning how they say the basic words she found it easier to start saying them herself.

Also having worked briefly with autistic children I found that from watching what they did and speaking to their parents that this programme helped them to assocaite with their surroundings. So perhaps in someway the teletubbies made their illness easier for them to cope with and the parents were able to communicate with their kids.

I don't expect evryone to agree with what I have said but this is a personal review and so these are merely my opinions

Summary: Have you had your tubby toast?

My 1 year old loves this and actually sings the theme tune without saying the words. He just makes the noises. Unfortuantely my 4 year old has yet to grow out of it too!
