Advantages: great for small children

To tell the truth when I first saw the Teletubbies on TV I honestly thought that my eyes were playing tricks on me. Seeing 4 colourful characters with TV's in their tummies as soon as you get up is properly going to be a bit confusing. Once I had actually sat down and watched this it all became clear. I learned to quite like the Teletubbies and their wonderful little world. Even today after the Teletubbies have been around for several years, it is still as popular. My daughters love them.

The Teletubbies consist of 4 characters which are Tinky Winky (purple one) Dipsy (green one) Laa laa (yellow one) and Po (red one). The teletubbies live in teletubbie Land underneath a big hill. They share their with a Hoover that is actually alive which cleans up after them, he's called Noo Noo. The sun also has a laughing baby within it and rabbits run freely on the grass. Every episode has a short film in it. This usually gets played through one of the teletubbies tummy TV's. One Teletubbie is chosen and the film is played. This is usually a short film of a child being crative etc. I do find it annoying that they have to show the film twice. You hear "again, again" once the film has been played and then it is repeated.

I think the only things the Teletubbies eat is "tubbie custard" and tubbie toast. The Teletubbies also have a favourite item each, for example La la likes her ball. The Tletubbies have caused a stir in the past due to the way they talk as they are described as talking like babies and people have said that it will encourage children to copy them, therefore not talking properly. I think this is a bit silly as the Teletubbies main audience can't talk anyway.

The Teletubbies is shown on Cbeebies everyday at different times. Also there is a large selection of toys to purchase. I really think the Teletubbies are great for the younger audience as it will keep them entertained while you have your jobs to do. The programme is full of colour and has music in it. I like that they teach nursery rhymes and also has some educational features .

I think Teletubbies is an overall great TV show and not to be missed by smaller children.
