Advantages: Cuddly and loveable fun for children to watch

Disadvantages: Teaches children to speak wrongly

Teletubbies has been running for a long time now and I can remember my 14 year old watching it when he was small.My other children are now 2 and 5 and they both watch it.They love it,specially my 2 year old.But I am not so keen on them purely because they do not talk properly and my son now says eh-oh instead of Hello,so I really feel that it does not do them any good in the sense of proper speech.

I know that they have portrayed it because teletubbies are supposed to be for the ages of birth to 4 or 5 years of age,but if they were to talk abit more appropriate,then it would be a great programme.
I however do love the fact that they sing alot of nursery rhymes and my children loves nu-nu for some odd reason.But apart from the speech problem,it is not too bad.

I did find it a little disturbing when it first started to find they had Televisions in their tummy and arials stuck out of the tops of their heads and was not sure how the children would take it.But it seems to have paid of and made a big impact.

Summary: A good show,but bad Speech
