TFI Friday

Newest Review: ... out live on the show. - Fat Lookalikes, very cruel, but sometimes funny. People who are deemed to look like fat versions of famous celebrities are invited onto the show. - Baby Left Baby Right, a toy doll would be placed on a cushion and the celebrity guest would be asked which way it would fall first, very odd! It was a shame what happened to TFI Friday, I'd say they should bring it back, but they tried this in 2005 and it flopped big time so maybe it's not such a great idea. I think we'll just have to remember it for what it was. Thanks for reading, feel free to comment.... more

Premium Review TFI Friday: A show before its time.....R.I.P TFI! (519 words)

TFI Friday was a Friday night entertainment show on channel 4, hosted by the then very popular DJ Chris Evans. To be honest, it was a really good show, of a similar ilk to the Graham Norton Show I suppose, just a few years before its time. The problem was that it was only way too early. If you look at Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, that doesn't start until half ten and so they can get away with the odd bit of swearing and controversial topics; at 6pm this was deemed unacceptable. The fact that it was filmed in an actual bar with audience members actually drinking during the filming was a bit of a lethal cocktail and things would regularly look to be getting a bit out ...  Read the complete review

I was a fan of this show when it had been running for a year or two, but near the end of the shows, it went a bit downhill and wasn't really worth watching. The host was Chris Evans and it was on every friday at 18:00, then repeated at 23:00. It lasted for an hour. There were famous people on for interviews, live bands, jokes, competitions and the show was just a laugh. The stuff Chris used to do was strange, but pretty good. He would have a hose with the water squirting up to the window, then he would throw things out the window and time them on the stopwatch to see how long they stayed in the water. At first it was just cardboard cutouts and small things, ...  Read the complete review

the cheapest internet sevice is tfi(the free internet).it only cost £89.99 for a whole year(unlimted acess). if you look at other internet sevice like aol it cost £15.00 a month. i brounght it and it was great but when i started it use to get disconneted every hour so that it was not all that good. but still i like it . the good thing about it was to sigh up it was quick all you had to do was given your detail and you can start right away. the bad thing was some times it took 30 minutes to connet it and it used to get disconneted by it self it a hour. over all i think tfi is really cheap. ...  Read the complete review

I used to get home from school every Friday, get changed and so on. Always gettin ready for 6clock on C4 when TFI Friday came on. Those were the days when it was good..... TFI Friday use to have fresh, funny humour. Maybe sometimes a bit corny but it always managed to make me laugh, and put a wide grin on my face. The classic interludes such as 'Ugly bloke' and 'Freak or unique' and the old time favourites such as Will, Andrew the barman and Steve' ive tried but i failed!'. Yes i have to mention the great ginger one as well.... Now Chris Evans is a character, you either love him or hate him, no indecision about it. I am one of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review TFI Friday: Don’t call me a pallbearer.... (574 words)

When the musical acts were good, the show was good and everything took care of itself. However, it fell apart towards the end perhaps because there too much chopping and changing (what did Evans replace the likes of ‘Ugly Bloke’ and ‘Freak Or Unique’? Absolutely nothing, if I recall and that proved to be it’s downfall as it lost any sense of empathy we had for it). The writing team for both ‘The Priory’ and ‘TFI Friday’ specialised in cod introductions especially this one for Victoria Beckham for it’s ’It’s Your Letters’ section:- “Dear Victoria, there’s ...  Read the complete review
