Well with the new series tonight I thought I would reflect on some of the highlights from last years show. I must confess that I was very late in joining this programme.

I had heard lots of people saying how good it was but never really got around to watching it - however onec I had watched one episode I was hooked and couldn't wait for the next episode each week.

The programme starts with 12 hopefuls who all want to work for Alan Sugar. They are divided into 2 teams and given a task. The team who wins the task - this may be making the most money or pitching an idea Sir Alan believes to be the most sucessful get a treat. The losing team don't and have to face the crtical Sir Alan. One of the losing team is eliminated each week withh those now famous words "your fired!".

The winner in this series was Lee Mcqueen. Anyone who saw the programme wouldn't be able to forget that pterodactyl impression - why would you do that!!! Michael "I'm Jewish really" Sophocles who didn't seem to know what a kosher Chicken was and posh Lucinda who nobody seemed to like and was totally left out in the car challenge.

This is slight twist on the usual reality TV in that it actually does feel quite real. Obviously some of the arguments will be made to look worse than they are because it needs to be entertaining - if it was too much like reality then we wouldn't watch it.

I for one will be glued tonight - if you haven't watched it before give it a go - like me you may be converted
