Advantages: great format, very entertaining

Disadvantages: it lasts an hour!

After the successes of 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire,' Chris Tarrant seems to have struck gold again with his latest game show 'The Colour of Money.' He hosts the show himself along with Millie Clode, who I'm sure many of you will recognise from Sky Sports News.

The show is a game of nerve really. In each episode a contestant is selected to play and they are in for a real rollercoaster ride of emotions. Firstly, they have to select one of three cards, which contain an unknown cash amount in excess of fifty thousand pounds. Now, the overall aim of the game is simple, they have to end up with exactly the amount of money they have just chosen, if they win, they get to go home with that sum, if they don't then they go home with nothing!

So how does it work then?
It's very complicated, each show lasts an hour! There are twenty screens, each of which counts upwards in multiples of £1000 at a rate of £1000 per second. Each screen has a predetermined monetary value between £1000 and £20000, which if reached will mean the player loses that sum. What the player has to do is select ten screens to play with, at each screen the money will rise and the player shouts STOP when they want the screen to freeze, they then carry that sum on with them in their quest to reach the amount first picked from the three cards. After each round the contestant is given a summary of the stats on their game by Millie Clode, helping them to try and identify what the predetermined monetary value of the screen they are looking at maybe. In the end they either make it or they don't it's simple, but the game is always very close and it's only ever a few thousand pounds which determines a winner from a loser.

Is it worth watching?
Defiantly, but I wish there was someway they could speed the show up because an hour out of your evening is quite a hefty chunk. It sounds extremely complicated and it is really, but it's hard to put into words what the show is all about, you'll have to watch it to get a better understanding I think and I'd definitely recommend doing this. If you want to tune in, it's shown on Saturday nights on ITV.

Thanks for reading, feel free to comment.

Summary: Well worth watching
