The CubeNewest Review: ... if they commit to a game and fail they will lose a life, as you can't leave The Cube till you pass the task, if you lose all 9 lives you are eliminated and win nothing. The challenges themselves increase in difficulty at every level between £1,000 and £250,000. Although some of them seem very simple it is clear that the pressure and thought of the prize money may make completing them harder. ... more |

The Cube is a brand new game show to ITV challenging contestants to complete various puzzle & physical tasks to win up to £250,000! Each episode shows the games of two contestants (not at the same time). The first challenge is obviously compulsory where the contestants can win £1,000. After completing a task they have the choice of walking away with the money they have won so far, or attempting the following task. They get a preview of how the next challenge works just to see if they are willing to gamble on what may seem to be an easy task. The twist is they only have 9 lives, if they commit to a game and fail they will lose a life, as you can't leave The ... Read the complete review

This is a new saturday night game show on Itv. When a member of the family had asked me if I had watched it the first week it was on I just shook my head. I was convinced that it was just another boring program where people try and win pointless prizes. The following week I was flicking through the tv and came accross it, my 5 year old son wouldn't let me turn it over all he kept saying was that he liked this program and it was really good, so we all sat watching it. I was suprised to find it was very good. The Game show This is like a new who wants to be a millionaire apart from the highest prize is £250,000 and that you play ... Read the complete review

The first time I stumbled across this show, I thought it was the stupidest thing I had ever seen. I think the first game I saw, was somebody having to pick up some red balls as fast as they could. "What the heck is this?!?!?" - I thought.... and Phillip Schofield is presenting? At primetime on a Saturday night??? And then I watched on. The next week, I watched the end of whatever programme was on before it, just so I didn't miss The Cube. That is how sad I have become - or how addictive this show is! Basically, the premise is an updated version of the Crystal Maze, instead, this time, each game is set inside a transparent cube, ... Read the complete review

I really enjoy (enjoyed even, this current series is finished now :() this gameshow, it airs on Saturday nights on ITV1, with repeats on Monday nights on ITV2. It's a real different spin to many of the gameshow we've had in the UK during the 21st century...this gameshow actually tests your ability to the fullest, both in a physical capacity and a mental capacity. The gameshow pits a contestant inside a square cube to test his abilities in various challenges, ranging from testing a person's nerves, reactions or even their memory. The contestant starts with 9 lives, once all 9 lives are finished the contestant loses all his money...but he can take his money at ... Read the complete review

In recent years, the format of the gameshow has undergone something of a radical change. Gone are the pretty dolly girls displaying their range of extravagant prizes and the cheesey quiz-show hosts with their lines such as "Let's take a look at what you could've won..." or "But you don't go home emty-handed, you get to take home this day-glo engraved tankard and silver-plated celebrity paperweight!" In have come the simplistic studio sets, the unsympathetic presenters and the dramatic music designed to increase tension in the already nervous contestants. Shows like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Deal Or No Deal and The Weakest Link have flourished ... Read the complete review
