Advantages: easy to watch, don't need to watch every episode

Disadvantages: only 30 epsiodes

The detectives starring Jasper Carrott and Robert Powell is a comedy spoof of police dramas, about two hopeless police detectives Bob Lewis and David Briggs. They are both completely useless but somehow usually end up solving the case by the end of the episode and somehow keeping their jobs, or regaining them after they got the sack in a later episode

Both Jasper Carrott and Robert Powell are excellent, well acted and a good comedy duo, who manage to keep getting themselfs into more hopless situations and the more they try the further they get into trouble. They are supported by George Sewell as the equal hapless Superintendent Cottam, who gives the pair all the dangourou, hopeless assignments to get them out the way.

It was orginally made in 1993 and continued to 1997 and 30 episodes where made and one special by the BBC, each episode was about 30 minutres long.

Summary: A good police spoof, one of Jasper Carrotts best shows
