The F Word

Description: Channel 4 / British cooking show featuring Gordon Ramsay.

Newest Review: ... starter, main and pudding , They do normally centre round the unheard of restraunt, that has been nominated by the public. But on the odd show they will have celbrities doing the same , but the show does have a part where a celbrity will come in and pit thier skills against Gordon himself with the "best dish" This can be funny at times especially if Gordons dish is voted worst dish ... more

As i sit writing this Gordon Ramsey is on my Tv, in an episode named "Simpley Thai" . I will not go on about this paticular episode but in a whole the entire show, If you are unsure how this show works its all about who is the better cook you usually have two teams who pit thier skills against each other in a kitchen where there is a restraunt it is attached to the kitchen and the teams have thier dishes that they cook and serve up to a room full of diners, the diners then have the option to either pay or not for what they are served by the two teams the team with the most scores goes on to win this score is gained over diffrent segments from starter, main and ...  Read the complete review

So Gordon is back again with another series of the F Word. Tuesday nights 9pm, channel 4. This time though the format has slightly changed. Instead of the contestants cooking Gordons food and the guests not paying for it they now cook their own recipes. I think Gordon must have got sick of people rejecting his food for various reasons. Gordon is now looking for the best UK restaurant and each week 2 teams compete to please the most diners. The winners move through to the next round. In addition to the 'best restaurant' competition Gordon has kept the recipe challenge where a celebrity competes against Gordon to please a select few diners. This is one of my ...  Read the complete review

The F Word is just one of the latest in a long line of programmes that have Gordan Ramsey at the helm. The programme is on Channel 4, and will usually be shown after the water shed, so at 9.00 pm for the abvious reasons. The show involves 4 people, all knowing each other going into Ramseys kitchen at different resturants in London. All the people that take on the challenge in the show are amature cooks, although in the first three series these were unknown people. In the fourth season the four participants had a celebrity and three other members that they knew, either friends or family. This is the main section of the show, as it takes up the most ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Gordon Ramsay not at his best! (384 words)

Gordon Ramsay seemed to appear out of nowhere unlike chefs such as Gary Rhodes and Jamie Oliver who had they're own cooking programmes. Ramsay instead took the appoach at starting in other people's kitchens, yelling at them for being bad chefs. The F Word is one of his newer shows after Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, it's shown on Channel 4. The F Word takes place in a restaurant and there's many features to the show including the cook-off where a celebrity cooks their favourite dish and Ramsay does his version of it. The two plates of food are cooked at the same time whilst Ramsay sort of interviews the guest and tells them what bad cooks they are, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The F Word: the 'f' stands for 'fail' Gordon (360 words)

WHAT IS IT: Gordon Ramsay hosts this food and cooking show that broadcasts live from within a restaurant. Each episode features an array of content, including a 'cook off', where Ramsay cooks a dish alongside a celebrity, and the public choose the best one. There are recipes given, and challenges where guests from a particular work arena run the kitchen each week. IS IT ANY GOOD: As a self confessed Gordon Ramsay junkie, I though I would love this show: I hated it! The problem is simple - Ramsay is doing too much, under too much restraint. The 'what is it about' above shows just some of the things that may take place in a typical episode, and it's ...  Read the complete review
