The FamilyNewest Review: ... her breath!). Straight from the start you can tell that this is a traditional family, although it is also obvious that the children's happiness come first over anything else. Even though Sarbjit is always looking after the others she always seems to have a smile on her face, that is until she doses of on the couch with utter exhaustion. The couples only daughter is Gurdip (known as Kaki) ... more |

I just had a chance to watch The Hughes Family online, the kids are rude especially Emily and Tom, the father is provoking and the mum is caught up between a rock and a hard place.... overall interesting program but discipline is needed though maybe too late now and the father need to get a padlock on his beaks, his questions are somethings annoying, give your children respect and you will no doubt get some back. Simon is so so so so annoying.

~~~The family~~~ In September 2008 channel 4 broadcast a fly on the wall documentary about the Hughes family, for 100 days and nights camera's followed the family to gain a picture of everyday family life in the UK. After the shows success, a new series returned in November 2009 with the Grewals, ~Who are the Grewals: The head of the family is dad Arvinder Jeet Singh Grewal a coach driver with a passion for films and theatre. He mostly has a cheeky grin on his face and dances around the kitchen shaking his tushee. You may think the manner in which he addresses his wife could be taken as offensive to women but to be ... The Family is a channel 4 documentary that filmed a family around the clock for 100 days and nights. It was first aired in the Autumn last year but is just being repeated on More 4 at the moment. The family consists of 6 members - the dad, Simon, the Mum, Jane and their 4 kids - Jessica, Emily, Charlotte and Tom. Jessica doesn't live with them, she lives down the road with her fiancé Pat and their daughter Ruby, but often comes round for visits. The programme was shown over 8 episodes, with a Christmas special episode, making it 9 in total. It covers all sorts of events that a normal life would see. The family seem unaware of the cameras for most of ... Read the complete review
This was without a doubt one of my favourite reality programs I have seen and it is a shame it is now over. If you missed it don't worry it can still be caught on Channel 4s website or on 4OD. The idea of this documentary was to view an average family's average life. Cameras were put around their house to catch their everyday life. There were only 8 episodes in total where the producers had to cram 4 months of footage into. I believe this documentation helps parents and children all over the UK deal with their ever day lives knowing they are not he only ones going through these issues. The family filmed consisted of 5 people living ... Read the complete review
I am gutted this program is now finished and also that the next series will involve a different family as The Hughes family were so hilarious to watch. Basically this family agreed to be filmed for 24 hrs a day for weeks, sort of like an English version of the Osborne's without the celebs. There were 8 episodes and it was to show the day to day goings on of the Hughes Family, it's the arguments, the love, the squabbles, the laughter its everything that every normal family go through but somehow I found this program addictive to watch and would recommend it to anyone whom is interested in fly on the wall documentaries or if you are like me a bit of a ...
