Advantages: Could insight in to the average UK families life

Disadvantages: Only 8 episodes

This was without a doubt one of my favourite reality programs I have seen and it is a shame it is now over. If you missed it don't worry it can still be caught on Channel 4s website or on 4OD.

The idea of this documentary was to view an average family's average life. Cameras were put around their house to catch their everyday life. There were only 8 episodes in total where the producers had to cram 4 months of footage into.

I believe this documentation helps parents and children all over the UK deal with their ever day lives knowing they are not he only ones going through these issues.

The family filmed consisted of 5 people living together Dad (Simon), Mum (Jane), Daughters (Emily and Charlotte) and Son (Tom). They are also regularly visited by their old daughter and her fiancée Jessica and Pat. Through out this series we are faced with tears, tantrums and laughter.

There was also a Christmas special shown on Christmas eve where we see the family celebrating but still see they cannot go a whole day without arguing.
