Newest Review: ... Like most families we also enjoyed watching X factor on TV last year with my daughter favourite judge being - guess who? Cheryl from Girls Aloud. She had always wanted them to become so great and so big that they would have their own TV show. She became so excited last Christmas when her dream became reality and they were granted prime time tv to have their own TV programme. She certainly ... more

The Girls Aloud Christmas Party My daughter is overly obsessed with Girls Aloud and loves everything about them. I got dragged along to see their latest concert and have to endure their CDs, DVDs. I have also read their biography 'Dreams That Glitter', which my daughter left lying about the house, which was quite an interesting read (I will write a separate review about that another time). Like most families we also enjoyed watching X factor on TV last year with my daughter favourite judge being - guess who? Cheryl from Girls Aloud. Last Christmas I got quite excited to see what Girl's Aloud had in store for us for the festive special. I was hoping for laughs, great music and a lot of surprises, after all the festive period is full of surprises, and actually, Santa delivered just what I asked for! The shows started off with a big Girl's Aloud number; 'The Promise', that had the show rocking off to a tremendous start. I was surprised at how well they actually sung live. I mean I've heard their music a lot through the radio and the like, but I've never seen them live so I couldn't remember how good they were. Nadine certainly pulls out a show stopping performance. Off to a good ...  Read the complete review

When i first heard that Girls Aloud where getting one of their own An Audience with Specials on ITV i was absoutely elated. I have waited for years for them to be massive enough to get one, and i knew that if they got one it would msot certainley be really huge. 8 million viewers, watched their special but was it really that special? First of all, I have supported Girls Aloud by buying their records and merchandise over the last 7 years, i have been behind this band on day one since Sound Of The Underground, and saw in them something special. The fact that nearly 7 years they are still around with the oriignal lineup, having had six platinum albums, 20 top ten ...  Read the complete review

It's true - I am a big fan of Girls Aloud and I'm not afraid to admit it! I've got quite a few of their albums, seen all of their DVDs, read their autobiography, seen them in concert and watched X Factor as Cheryl Cole powered to victory with Alexandra Burke. I'm always entering online competitions but never win much, so imagine my delight and surprise when I was called by ITV in November to be told that I'd won 2 tickets to the filming of their Christmas special to be broadcast in December! I was soooo excited, and we finally went to the filming on December 2nd 2008, and the final show was broadcast on December the 13th, just before the X Factor final. Therefore this is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Girls Aloud Christmas Party: It's the Sound Ah....of Girls Aloud (615 words)

When Girls Aloud first hit the scene from the reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals, I thought they would soon disappear into oblivion. Their male counterparts certainly did. Anyone remember them? Anyway, I have gotten into the band and their music quite recently and I really do like their hits. Many a time I have spent a late evening watching Top 10 Girls ALoud or a re-run of their concert. I watched this show on Saturday and wondered what the point of it was. They sang their current hits like The Promise and their original Sound of the Underground amongst a few others. There was even a showcase for their Christmas single, though surely it ...  Read the complete review
