This show has been going for quite a while now, can't think what series we are on and although I used to really like this show, I still watch it thesedays, but I am getting a bit bored of it.
Kind oflike How Clean Is Your House, but for Hotels, as the title perhaps gives it away, it is about a Hotel Inspector who goes into Hotels where the owners are asking for help, gives them some pointers and all is meant to be well.
The original show featured the Inspector called Ruth Watson. I think she was the best Hotel Inspector. She seemed nice enough, said what she thought, seemed to give good pointers and the show seemed better with her in it. The last couple of series has seen Hotelier Alex Polizzi. Her family before her has run some famous Hotel chain, and Alex has been dealing with the Hotel industry for most of her life. So she certainly has the experience, but she just annoys me. She seems a bit smug for some reason, and it is like most shows run the same format - she turns up, scowls at the Hotel room, gives the owners a bit of a dressing down, and you don't seem to get the wrap up of the show that you got with Ruth. I feel you are left wondering what happened next - did the owners learn their lesson? Did business improve and so on?
This show is on Channel 5 at 9pm on Monday, but I think it only has a few more episodes left to run. I'm sure it will return soon enough again. With most TV shows, it was a good format when it first came out, but after a few series then the same tired situation gets a bit boring.

- 12/08/09 I've only recently started watching this series but have really enjoyed it. Hope they do make another series! x |

- 12/08/09 You used to get the summary at the end with Ruth through, a kind of 3 months later thing, where you found out what they had done and if they were succesful though, and I liked that part the best! |

- 12/08/09 I adore this programme. I am surprised though that you dont mention the fact that when Alex does her business with the hotels in question, they do turn around and are largely successful.
In several episodes she also invites thouse from TripAdvisor and other review sites to return to the hotels in question to see if independently, things have improved too. |
