'The Inbetweeners' is an English comedy show about 4 friends in a sixth form at a comprehensive school in England. The series started on E4, but due to popularity, it began being shown on Channel 4 - plus you can download the episodes on iTunes.

Will (played by Simon Bird) is a geeky boy who was forced to attend the comprehensive school after attending a private school. Due to family financial circumstances, Will begins his first day at the comprehensive - he's forced to wear a large badge sayig "I'm new, come and ask me my name".

Simon (played by Joe Thomas) is relatively normal, and desperately in love with one of the cool girls Carlie. The series see him pass his driving test and his parents presenting him with a bright yellow panda car

Jay (played by James Buckley) is obssesd with sex, and anything crude and dirty. Everything in his head is somekind of sexual innuendo, and he boasts about all the girls he's had when he goes to 'Caravan Club' with his parents

Neil (played by Blake Harrison) is the gangly, strange one who is constantly teased that his dad is gay.

***********************************
The series is based around these 4 characters, and their inability to get girlfriends, and how they survive the trials and tribulations of high school. They spend most of their time trying to fit into the 'cool' gang, and avoided the 'nerd' gang.

It is rumoured that there will be a second series made next year

***********************************

I love this series, it really is hilariously funny! each episode you watch the 4 friends go about their daily lives making teenage mistakes, it's an absolute joke fest!

the humour is very adult and a bit smutty in places, so if you are easily offnded or prefer more 'sophisticated' humour, this may not be for you! but for the rest of us - buy buy buy!

Summary: watch 4 teenage boys trying to navigate their way through adolescence
