The Inbetweeners (The Inbetweeners)

Advantages: Hilarious! Disadvantages: Only half an hour long I LOVE THE INBETWEENERS! It's definitely not for those who get offended easily, or embarrassed, because every conversation is somehow related back to sex, using swearing and crude language to comedic effect. You learn to love Will, the geeky teen who was downgraded from a posh private school to the local comprehensive, with his briefcase and enthusiasm for everything. His friends Jay, Simon and Neil are all classic characters, and all four boys are just trying to lose their virginity, but in ways that are laughable. The humour is often very dry and sarcastic, and there are many moments that are just shocking, but hilariously so. People who are generally seen as role models, such as teachers and parenst, are all dysfunctional, which adds to the programme. They all openly talk bout things to their children which, if ever occurred in real life, would horrify and probably scar them for life! The Inbetweeners is fantastically written and I cannot think of one episode that did not make with laugh out loud at least ten times! Summary: Don't watch with parents, children, or anyone who it could be awkward with, because it will be! |
