I would like to make one thing clear, I do NOT watch the Jeremy Kyle show - I have merely seen occasional snippets when flicking through the channels in the morning (or so I claim...). But from what I have seen, I know one thing... The Jeremy Kyle show is complete trash - entertainment in its lowest form - a voyeuristic laugh at the state of someone else's miserable life.

The people who take part on the show are generally sad exponents of humanity - poor misguided and generally thick individuals who think that the key to a better life is thrashing out their problems on TV.
In fact, i'm not even sure if the majority of the 'guests' are real, as there have been allegations in the past of the seemingly troubled participants actually being paid actors.

Jeremy Kyle himself is an arrogant, mean faced little man who is obviously getting paid extremely well for pretending to care about the individuals in his show. He is a former salesman (you can tell), and according to Wikipedia, concealed a gambling habit from his first wife who he divorced in 1990.

In summary, The Jeremy Kyle Show was recently described by Judge Alan Berg as a programme designed to "titillate bored members of the public with nothing better to do", and also that "the purpose of this show is to affect a morbid and depressing display of dysfunctional people whose lives are in turmoil...human bear-baiting".

Well said.
