Jeremy Kyle has been on our screens since 2005, having taken over the ITV morning slot previously occupied by Trisha. It is a talk show which quiet honestly features the dregs of society, those that have fallen out with their families, women who have slept with half a dozen people at the same time and have no idea of the paternity of their children, people who think they can lie their way out of anything. There are on occasions decent programmes where he highlights the plight of ill children, or has guests on that have won bravery awards, but these programmes are few and far between.

Jeremy Kyle in my opinion suits the nickname Jeremy Vile, because his ideas of how to help people are just vile. The word help is used in the very loosest sense of the word, what he does is shout and scream at his guests, shouting them down, not allowing them to speak. Newspaper reports say that the guests are riled up backstage in order to create a 'better' show, its also often referred to as car crash TV by the newspapers.

Having said all that about how bad it is, I have to admit I do watch it on occasions. I find it quite funny really, the lengths some people will go to to claim their 15 minutes of fame are quite incredible. It also makes for quite good therapy, when you're feeling a bit down and you're job is getting on top of you, watching Jeremy Kyle makes you realise how much better off you are than others.
