Advantages: Helps me unwind and some needy people get the help they need

Disadvantages: Jermery Kyle is rude. The people who go on there and the poor kids that are involved

The Jeremy Kyle show is on channel three (ITV) weekday mornings at 9.30 and goes on for about an hour. The Jeremy Kyle show is a studio with a stage. People contact Jeremy with there problems and then they become guests on the show to get help, answers and very often lie detector results! The show has an audients in the studio who often asks the guests questions etc.

To give you an idea of the types of problems the people that come on the show have I would say they have a lack of confidents, no idea about what is right and wrong and no morals in most cases. The guests go on the show to discuss thing in front of the nation that most people would kill to keep secret. For instance the line up for next week is-

Say no more the shows will be full of people openly confessing they have had affairs, slept with relatives, do not know who the father of there child is etc.

I cannot understand why a women would take there partner onto live TV to confess they have slept with someone else (very often a relative) and that they may or may not be the parent of the child they have loved for the last 5 years. (Yes 5 years they always leave it ages to find out. poor kids)

There are regularly young women on there with abusive partners who are trying to get pregnant to either keep there partner or get a free house. Jeremy is quite tough on these people. Jeremy has no time for people who do not want his help he is also thought on dad's that do not work or pay there was and claims of the taxpayer.

They and I like Jeremy is straight talking was he is scared of no one but I cannot stand some of the things he says. He can be so rude he will say to guests "shut up it say's Jeremy Kyle show love" also he say "at the end of the day" A LOT! This bugs me. He will also throw people off the show if they do not listen to him who annoys me as then you do not hear the full story.

The show consists of Jeremy Kyle who is the host, His team which include a councillors, rehab people, security who are often on the side of the stage waiting for a fight to break out which does happen regularly.

Occasionally the show does a one off which I really enjoy they might follow the homeless to see what life is like for them or sometimes they have a show devoted to reuniting families which is really lovely.

The show is about an hour long but over half of it is recaps of what happen before the advert, last time, etc. He seems to cover the past and flashes back to earlier in the show all the time. I think the show could be crammed into half an hour without the recaps easily.

I do watch Jeremy Kyle to unwind but I do think this type of show should be axed as it is mean watching and laughing at other peoples misfortune. Axing the show would save the people who go on there from themselves!

Overall the Jeremy Kyle show is a annoying programme but I quite like it to help me unwind and feel good about myself as I have never slept with my brother's uncle, had a baby and not know the father, or been violent so it makes me feel good about myself when I see the mess some people get in. I do think the show is quite cruel though the poor people who go on there seem to know no better. They should be embarrassed about the mess they have into not loud and proud on my TV set!
