Last week I was at home recovering from the dreaded swine flu. I don't normally watch day time T.V but feeling bored but still not well enough to read or go out I decided to tune in to see what I could find to entertain myself. This is how I came across the Jeremy Kyle show on ITV.

The show, as it is called, deals with all manner of problems that people encounter. The show I watched dealt with relationship and paternity issues. Sounds interesting? Nope, in a word it is the most mindless programme I have ever watched!

The show started with the vile Mr. Kyle bouncing onto the stage after shaking hands with the moronic audience. He then introduced his first guests. As far as I remember they were a man plus two women. All looked scruffy and were clearly poorly educated. There then followed a lot of shouting about who had done what and whether the unfortunate specimen of manhood was the father of the baby. More friends and relatives were wheeled out onto the stage with more shouting. Jeremy Kyle's role seems to be to act in a conciliatory way to try to bring some resolutions to the situation. Then there were the all important results of a D.N.A test to be read out and finally we all know whether the man is the father or not.

The show I watched feathered 2 separate families but the format was the same. There is also some strange bloke called Graham who is a councellor and sees all the participants after the show to give more help.

I watched the show like a moth to a flame, probably something to do with my illness! I did feel uneasy that the show is taking advantage of the participants. all of whom were poorly educated and what could be described as vulnerable individuals. Why anyone would want to go on national T.V and share all their grubby little secrets with the world I have no idea! I suspect the participants want their moment of fame having achieved little else in their lives of any worth.

This is one show I won't be watching again. However if you feel this may be one for you then it is shown every day at 9.30 am. Watching this certainly made me determined to get out!

Summary: Show with Jeremy Kyle

Your observations are spot on,but personally I feel the participants(at least some of them) deserve a bit more sympathy. The programme has even made me cry, try to sound a bit less superior.

These shows seem to be all alike, don't they? I avoid them too.

I see we have similar tastes in icons.
