Advantages: On rare occasions, they give exposure to some brave people.
Disadvantages: It's just a fight dressed up as a serious show
I have watched this programme quite a few times, and feel I have a good grasp of what it is about. I think these shows are ten-a-penny, but all structured the same. On one occasion, I aw a programme based on inspirational children, who have had more difficult lives than I could ever imagine. I applaud that. However, when we see the type of people brought on for the so called "serious stuff", this being DNA tests, affairs, lie detectors, you know it is going to end in trouble. Quite often the people they have on are all from similar backgrounds, dress badly and their hygiene leaves much to be desired. Now, every now and then Kyle talks sense, but often, as one or two judges have said, it is a form of provocation and bear baiting. Kyle, of course, has his big security men around him. I just cannot see how this prgramme constitutes entertainment, because lives of people are secondary to the big story and controversy. Because of work, I am delighted that I will never see this programme again.
Summary: In a nutshell, Jeremy Kyle referees the latest fight.
