Well it's hard to sum up an incredible programme like this one in just a review.
To start what can I say...there are 6 amazing series of this show it's set in America its about a group of lesbian women and there entangling love lives and their forever binding friendships. I recently got into it after my friend put the first series on it starts off strong so anyone put off by homosexuals intimacy wouldn't enjoy this.

There are 6 main characters that managed to work there way through 6 series's, allowing the public to dive into their love life's and personal lives.

The first series started with getting to know all the characters and some of their traits...it's main focus was around portraying the drama and love between lesbian freidndships and relationships. Jenny a young moment who moved into the local area with her fiancé first witnessed a sexual encounter between two lesbians when she first moved in, however she wasn't (yet) one of them. She lived with her fiancé (Tim) but at a house warming party met Marina who was also a part of the lesbian friendship group. Her and Jenny connected immediately the sexual tension lurking in the air. Throughout the series they become closer they were intimate from the start. Marina was the love of Jenny's life but what happened next...that would be telling to much you have to watch it to feel the real emotion that we all felt when watching these women explore! Tina and Bette were also a lesbian couple introduced in the first series who both played a big part in the lesbian friendship groups lives. The couple have been together for over 8 years after meeting at an art gallery. They are a couple anting to start a family .Through the series we discover their love life, how they connect intimately and as friends and what challenges lie ahead of them.
Alice- the only bisexual character in the programme lurks through intriguing relationships in all the series but often is put in many sticky situations which wouldn't often happen in places like England. She is a fun , outgoing character, through the series we start to see her love life develop and also hit rick bottom on several occasions.
Shane- the most masculine female of the group, very manly almost like a stereotypical lesbian. One thing Shane cannot deal with is relationships, she enjoys sex with no strings attached. A real down to earth character, who's their for everyone.
Kit- Bette's sister who owns the planet this is the local hang ut area for the lesbian friendship group. She falls in love deeply in series one promising she won't but things to get better for her in time...
These girls are the main characters of series one along with Dana who scrapes into the programme for three series's I professional tennis player, therefore in the first series tries to keep it on the down low that she is a lesbian. But things in her life make this difficult through the series involving intimate encounters and falling in love. When Ana is with her friends nothing gets in her way she knows how to have a good time but still has to pretend she is straight whilst in the public eye.

Series 2- this series starts off with TIna and Bette trying to fix their relationship and resolve issues, Loyalty within most lesbians relay ships is often questioned through the series's. Bette's life goes down hill from series 2 to the end of the same series dealing with you work related issues, loyars and her past events. Shane is also one of the characters who becomes intertwined in a relationship with a beautiful women in this series named Carmen. She vales to never fall in love with a girl but Shane just can't help her heart falling for someone. Tina also has a new love interest during this series and Alice and Dana have some discussing to do about their relationship.

Series 3- this series begins 6 months after the birth of Tina and Bette's daughter, Their are also several new faces introduced in this series one being moira a masculine women who knew she wasn't in the right body and later on in the series decides to transform to the male gender however suffering some harsh consequences on the way. It is also Dana's last series I won't spoil it and say how but consequences where extremely unfortunate and left her friends and Alice in the lurch. Alice also becomes ore well known in this series for her chart, this chart is of all the lesbians in the US that have had a sexual encounter with one another connecting lesbians who have never met to one another, it is most intriguing to the audience and the other lesbians in the friendship group. Tina's rebound girlfriend in series 2 has now gone from Bette's enemy to a close friend in the friendship group with all the girls. Helena who is rich, feminine and beautiful wows the girls with her indifferent personality and buying there happiness.

Series 4-Things never work out exactly how people want them to and they didn't for Bette and Tina, in this series Bette finds a new lover (jodi), a deaf one too which makes it harder for the relationship to work properly however they both work really hard at it and fall in love. Tina also finds someone else but of the male gender her feelings for men start to reappear and she finds herself attracted to one man I particular Henry. aLice struggles having to move on from Dana but has the support from all her friends. Meanwhile Shane and Carmen are still going strong together intimate as ever and Jenny is focusing on a new project. Alice throws a spanner in the works with Bette's new boss and finds her lover Tasha Williams. They meet through a player who hits records in Alice's sex lesbian chart.

Series 5-Shane is back to her devious self not being able to say no to temptation, Tina and Bette recouncil with one another intimately and during the series discuss what they should do with their futures. Jenny comes out of her shell through series 4 directing her own movie about her friends and their daily lives, irritating the girls and losing friends. Alice and Tasha go through many rocky periods but work it all out in the end. Intimacy and sexual encounters in this series are a most definite for sure! Jenny and Tina also have to work together which makes matters harder and more awkward. But Jenny meets a girl called Niki her lead role in the film and hook up.

Series 6- unfortunately the programme ended this series, it ended dramatically though however TIna and Vette finally recouncilled, Jodi dismissed from the picture in the previous series. the group have a lot of tense between them especially with Jenny knowing that her film was about all the girls but in the end they realised friendship and love within a group and a partner is key to living a happy life and they all tried to patch it up. Obviously nothing ends sweetly even if you try for it to happen. One of the characters dies but who? And how?

Got to watch it to find out! A true masterpiece these actresses are amazing incredible and a joy to watch because most things that happened in their life can happen to anyone. It's a really heart felt story of a group of beautiful lesbian women forming friendships staying strong and loving one another in several different ways. Thumbs up to the girls a must see for sure! It's impacted my life for the better!!
