I thoroughly enjoy watching The Late Edition, simply because I am quite partial to political comedy and have been a huge fan of satire the likes of 'Have I Got News For You'. Hidden away in a quiet corner on BBC4 television (usually late in the evening or middle of the night) is a funny little political chat show by the name of "The Late Edition". Described sometimes as "Newsnight with jokes", this half hour programme goes out totally live the very first time when it is actually billed as "The Late Edition - Live". The "live" tag disappears once it hits the fast turn-around repeats, after all, it's not live anymore. Now in its 4th season, I must admit that for the first two seasons or so, it had gone largely unnoticed by me. I then only dipped in occasionally when I couldn't sleep at night ...
