The Mentalist is a new American drama similar to that of CSI, as a huge CSI fan I had to watch this. Despite the fact its not as well acted or planned as CSI its an excellent watch for a Thursday night. Over the last few years the number of crime dramas specifically American crime dramas have become to much as there are to many on TV however this adds something a little bit different. I really like the character of Patrick Jane and I think that Simon Baker who plays him is an excellent actor. I feel for the character who lost his wife and child and was never able to find the killer who they call Red John the only thing I hope is that the story line does not last to long. This show offers something very different to normal shows and anybody interested in how the mind works would love this. My friend who is currently studying a Psychology degree loves it as it helps her to see how he and the show see the human mind.

Summary: New drama I recommend those interested in crime dramas and psychology should watch
