Advantages: big prizes
Disadvantages: chance of winning small
The Mint is a game show created by ITV.
It is shown after midnight.
Show runs for several hours. Hosts rotate, main presenters are Brian Dowling
Kat Shoob
Beverley French
Cat Porter
Craig Stevens
The Mint is an interactive show. People phone to answer a question. Right answer wins them thousands of pounds.
The show is a scam though. Not all calls are picked up and answered. Vast number of calls are not picked up by the programme. Callers are told to call back. You can make calls for £500 and not get on.
Prizes are encouraging. You can win £10,000 to £30,000 easily.
The big negative is that you have very small chance of winning something despite huge number of calls made.
ITV is wrong with this show. People are misinformed and despite no chance of calls getting on the show hosts keep telling people to make the calls.
I think this is a disgusting show that should be stopped or regulated at least. I would never call The Mint because I will be wasting my money.
Some people get hooked to this show, lure of prize money is too great.
Summary: don't bother with this stupid show
