The new adventures of old Cristine is an American comedy series about Christine, a divorced mother of 1 who lives with her brother and owns a gym. She's very confused and lonely a lot of the time and finds it hard to cope on her own, but she's always got her brother, best friend Barbara (played by Wanda Sykes), ex husband Richard, and his new girlfriend also named Christine. Together they try and raise their son Richie, a confused little boy who doesn't really shine at anything he tries like karate, other sports or musical instruments.

The reason for Christine being called old Christine, is because her husbands new girlfriend of the same name is younger and new therefore, she's referred to as new Christine. So old Christine is a frequent drinker and loves wine, she gets picked on by the mothers at her sons school for being different (i.e. not blonde, married to a rich man) but she wants her son to have the best education and puts up with it. She desperately wants to find love again as she doesn't want to be the one left all by herself now that her ex has found someone new. She's awfully close to her brother (and sometimes gets a bit too close for comfort) and relies on her best friend to help her through most things she's going through.

This is an amusing series that I enjoy watching and I recommend it to people who like comedy series.
