The Passions of Girls AloudNewest Review: ... at last minute although originally her passion was to be a opera conductor but for some reason it didnt work out. She said on This Morning that she did not have a passion, and her passion was being a singer and she already had that. But i believe their was some backstage problem and she's therefore not in. Also you'll notice despite Nadine turning up for the other members at several places to ... more |

Being a huge big Girls Aloud fan over the years, i enjoyed watching it. At times it was cringeworthy, at times i had goosebumps and at times i was laughing at how bad the girls where. But all in all i was impressed, with how Sarah, Nicola, Cheryl and Kimberely are totally committed to fulfilling their goal and how they don't give up. I think it speaks numbers also on why they are successfull and why truly they have made it in this industry and that indvidually they can carry a show. I think they chose well and they all have very different ideas of passions. The idea of the show is to allow them to fulfill their passion, a passion for something. For me, my ... I am a massive girls aloud fan who has all their albums, dvds, been to many tour dates and have also been fortunate enough to meet the girls on a numer of occasions. I must say this dvd reflects exactly how they are - hardworking as a group and as individuals. This show was a 4 parter and showed 4 of the 5 members setting off to achieve what their "passion" and dream is. I will give a brief description of my favourite episodes. Cheryl's passion was street dancing and with Cheryl being my favourite I enjoyed this episode the most. This episode shows Cheryl developing dance skills she has learnt with GA into a more hip hop and street route. ... Read the complete review

The passions of Girls Aloud was a one of series of four shows showing Girls Aloud settting out to achieve things that they have always longed to do,as it seems their ambitions went further than being in the most successful girl band ever! Girls aloud are Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding. They became a group after winning the show Popstars the Rivals in 2002. Nadine declined to do the Passions show, as other commitments took priority. Cheryl's ambition was to be a street dancer, Sarah Harding learnt how to play polo and played in a match with top players, Kimberely always dreamed of having a part in Les ... I expected this to be one of those fly on the wall fawning documentaries that is all part of the Girls Aloud PR machine and intended to just promote the bands music. While there is an element of truth to this I guess the programme did at least give the viewer a bit more of an incite into the band members lives as they seek to achieve something outside of their music careers and something that has been a professional oal for them. Perhaps my favourite episode was the one where Nicola who has a very pale complexion and ginger hair attempted to launch a new range of cosmetics designed for the paler complexion, this was clearly something she was ... I'm a pretty big Girls Aloud fan, I enjoy listening to their music (so does Harry actually, he does a mean dance to Something Kinda Ooh!) and often watch them when they are on the television. So when I saw they were making a new TV show called "The Passions of Girls Aloud", I knew I'd be forcing my partner to watch it for one hour a week! The show started in March 2008, and ran for 4 weeks, with the last episode airing just a few weeks ago on ITV2. The premise behind The Passions.. is that each of the members of Girls Aloud were going to pursue a dream they have had for a long time. They would be given training in their chosen dream, and then given ... Read the complete review
