I accidentally caught the end of the Rat Pack one day. I was hooked. The show follows the lives of Ricky and Jimmy of the Pest Control Company Environ. Ricky and Jimmy are brothers and are charming, funny and utterly disarming with Jimmy's pet Jack Russell Charlie who helps out in the Rat division of the firm.

The show is facsinating insight into the troubles that people experience with various animals in their homes. Cockroaches, bed bugs, wasps, squirrels and best of all rats. More than that it lets you into the life of these great characters who call to sort out the problem, reassure the victim, and provide a hugely entertaining spectacle at the same time. Whatever the pest, Ricky and Jimmy know what to do and go about it with good-humoured professionalism.

Obviously the very best bits are when Charlie is called in. The relationship between the brothers and Charlie and their obvious affection for him is a treat to watch. We have new sayings now in our family "where's the rats" and "who got the rats"!

Just try one show and I reckon you'll be hooked too.
