Advantages: brilliant to see how one man can help so many

Disadvantages: a lot more could be helped

A television programme that does not sound much yet watch it once and you will be hooked and want more.

Every week a millionaire leaves his comfy homelife and family behind, packs his bag and off he goes to either a place really alien to him/herself or back to near his own half forgotten roots, to try and help a couple sources that he thinks deserves his help. It is up to him to choose who needs his help.

The Millionaire is given somewhere to stay that is very basic and the same amount of money to live on daily and weekly as someone oln the dole.

This for a start is something he is not used to and is shocked by how little amount of money it is.

After he has settled in, usually after looking really shocked at how basic his home for the next 10 days is, he goes with a camera crew to find some well deserving people of his cash.

The type of places he helps out are where someone is doing good for others with little or no help money wise from the government or other bodies. The people he helps could be and has been single Father, addicts, foster carers and other people that needs his help.

He explains the camera crew by saying he is doing a programme for channel 4 which isnt far from the truth. He must not give it away that he is a millionaire.

He soon settles in with the people he wants to help and can been seen doing mundane things like washing the floor etc.

At the end of the 10 days he works out who, and how much of his own money he is going to give to help. He then goes and explains that although he told most of the truth he left out that he was a millionaire and in a position not only to help them but that he wants to help them.

Believe you me this programme will have you crying when he hands over cheques that can be an absolute lifeline to some. We are talking thousands of pounds given to some worthy causes. It is extra nice because none of them expect it.

It is nice for the millionaire as no one knows he has money and does not treat him any different from others so he knows it is not his money that they are after and he knows they genuinely like him for himself not the cash.

When he hands over the cheques to well deserving people it does not end there.

Next he comes back in a few months to see what they have done with the money and if you listen to the programme you can tell that they have all stayed in touch with each other and planned things together.

Even then the millionaire does not walk away from the project. Most, in fact I would say all of them, have stayed friends and stayed on to help build up on what help has been given.

All the millionaires have said that the programme has changed them. They lived to work and most now have cut down on the work to spend more time with family and helping these causes. Also to appreciate what "normal" people are going through.

Please forgive me saying he all the way through this as of course there are woman millionaires in this programme too but it is easier to say he than keep typing he/she!

Thank you for reading.

Summary: great programme, if you have not seen it watch it when you can, you wont regret it

This series is really rather good and got back to the point of the show. I felt the last series was cynical and about tax deductable sums beung hande dout by people trying to promote thier business.
